Jason Rizzo

Photographer
Each step in life is a chance to follow your dreams and ambitions. After spending 18 years as a computer engineer, I decided that with my next step it was time to pursue what had been calling me for most of my life instead…. "Finding Inspiration in Nature and Environment" and turning my photography hobby and artistic dreams into a FINE art career.

The beauty of nature and the creativity of the imagination have inspired me for the majority of my life. My photography and artwork combine aspects of both the natural world and those creative concepts that only the imagination can dream up.

Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me. She waves her magic wand and transforms a simple everyday scene into a dazzling array of color, mood, and emotion in the blink of an eye. Photography provides a medium for me to capture my own interpretations of these emotional expressions that nature displays and to share their beauty.

Respect for, and the welfare of, wildlife, domestic animals, and nature are very important to me. All of my wildlife photographs for sale are of wild and free animals in their natural environments. While out in the field, my goal is to leave as minimal of a trace and disturbance of my passing through naturally wild settings as possible. Respect for natural settings, natural wildlife behavior, and humane treatment of animals are more important to me than any photograph I could hope to capture by any other means.

I believe in creating artistic images that reflect my visions, my ethical beliefs, and the emotions expressed to me by the wild natural world. Photography is my main tool. However, there are some works where I add some drawing and painting to explore my imagination further to create truly unique mixed-media, collage-like creations.  These can be found on my website along with my photography.  I hope that you enjoy viewing my images as much as I enjoyed creating them.
